Today, Alberta Premier Jason Kenney and Ministers Sonya Savage and Dale Nally joined Nancy Southern and ATCO leaders at the HERD building in Edmonton to officially announce the Government of Alberta Natural Gas Strategy.

The strategy includes a large section on hydrogen and its massive potential as a low carbon energy of the future. This announcement is yet another exciting milestone as we continue to move forward with the Fort Saskatchewan Hydrogen Blending Project and further establish ATCO as a leader in the hydrogen space.

At a time when the generation of jobs and opportunities will be critical to our economy, the government’s strategy positions the province to navigate a post-pandemic environment positively.
