    The Project

ATCO is providing construction energy to support a mixed-use development project currently underway in Calgary’s south west quadrant. The development consists of three large buildings designed for commercial, retail and residential space. For the first two buildings requiring 30 million BTUs per hour of heating, ATCO arranged a temporary gas line from an existing gas system to run a natural gas generator to power the crane on-site. The use of reliable, affordable and greener natural gas for construction energy on the project has already eliminated over 900,000 litres of propane consumption and amassed savings of over $300,000 for the customer.

Our team of experts developed a comprehensive construction energy solution tailored for Trico Homes’ up and coming development. This began with upfront work around sizing and gas line planning and transitioned to getting construction energy delivered on-site, making the entire process seamless. ATCO completed the temporary meter skid installation, ran additional gas lines to service additional project areas and provided the heater and generator, facilitating access to reliable and convenient construction energy.
